OXFORD, Conn — Police are investigating and providing extra presence Wednesday after Oxford High School was targeted by a possible threat.
A security threat targeted an Oxford High School student, according to police.
Threats have not been reported at Quaker Farms School, Great Oak Elementary School or Oxford Middle School, according to school officials.
There is an extra police presence at the high school while the threat is being investigated.
The superintendent informed students and families of the threat via email. School officials said students are welcome to stay at school, be picked up, or drive home. Parents of students driving home are asked to call the main office to authorize sign-out.
This is a developing story.
