WOLCOTT, Conn. — Goodwill of Southern New England is lending a hand to support victims of the flooding that has impacted the Connecticut Valley region.
To help individuals and families who are suffering in the aftermath of the natural disaster, Goodwill is accepting donations at the Wolcott Donation Center, located at 1261 Meriden Road in Wolcott.
Goodwill says the donations will be provided to flood victims free of charge at the same location beginning on Friday. The donation center’s hours run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
The donations will help provide victims with essential items, including clothing, housewares and other necessities. Goodwill is encouraging those who have been affected by flood damage to visit the donation center during its hours of operation to receive the items at no cost.
“We are committed to helping our community members during this difficult time,” said H. Richard Borer, Jr., president at Goodwill of Southern New England. “By donating to this cause, you can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by the flooding.”
Goodwill of Southern New England owns and operates 16 second-hand retail stores, five attended donation centers and one outlet store in the region it covers.
