HAMDEN, Conn. — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Dixwell Avenue in Hamden on Friday night.
Police were called to the 2300 block of Dixwell Ave. just before 11 p.m. Friday for a report of a person hit by a vehicle in the area.
Arriving officers found a female who was hit by the vehicle. The victim was taken to the hospital and later died from her injuries. She has not been identified at this time.
The driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
This investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to call police at 203-230-4000.
