Days-old kitten left in box on side of the road: Southbury Animal Control

The kitten that died was left in a box on the side of the road on High Meadow Drive, the town's animal control said.

SOUTHBURY, Conn. — A newborn kitten left in a cardboard box on the side of the road in Southbury has died, according to the town's animal control office on Monday.

According to Southbury Animal Control, the kitten was orange and white and was only a few days old. It was left in a box on the side of the road on High Meadow Drive.

The town's animal control office asks anyone with information to call 203-262-0613 or the Southbury Police Department.

The Connecticut Humane Society has resources available for anyone who needs assistance with taking care of a family pet and is considering surrendering them. More information can be found on their website here.
