SOUTHBURY, Conn. — A 27-year-old man is in custody following a domestic disturbance on Hill Place Drive Friday evening, according to the Southbury Police Department’s Facebook page.
Around 10:03 p.m. on Oct. 11, Southbury police responded to the disturbance. Southbury police say they were investigating when the suspect, Tyler Scalera, became combative with them. He was eventually arrested.
According to Southbury police, Scalera was charged with third-degree assault on the elderly, two counts of assault on a public safety officer, interfering with an officer and second-degree disorderly conduct.
Southbury police say that Scalera is being held at New Haven Correctional on a $25,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Tuesday morning.
