Man dies after losing control of motorcycle, crashing in Milford

Police said the man was traveling north on Anderson Avenue near Chaucer Court when, for an unknown reason, he lost control of the motorcycle, leading to a crash.

MILFORD, Conn. — A man died after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing in Milford Sunday, according to the city's police department Thursday.

Police said that their traffic division was called at 7:27 p.m. Sunday to a serious collision with life-threatening injuries reported.

Based on preliminary information, investigators learned that a 25-year-old man was riding his motorcycle north on Anderson Avenue near Chaucer Court when, for an unknown reason, he lost control, leading to a collision.

Police said the man was treated at the scene for his injuries and was taken by the Milford Fire Department to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he later died. He has not been identified at this time.
