MILFORD, Conn. — A tractor-trailer went off the Interstate 95 north roadway in Milford early Tuesday morning, snarling commute traffic.
The Milford Fire Department was called to I-95 north near Exit 40 around 6 a.m. for a crash in the area.
Responding crews found a tractor-trailer that went off the highway and was leaning on the guardrail and tree line. One of the saddle tanks was leaking, which was quickly controlled, officials said.
The Dept. of Energy and Environmental Protection also responded to the scene.
The right and center lanes were temporarily closed between Exits 40 and 41 for several hours, and delays backed up to Exit 35, according to the state Dept. of Transportation.
Firefighters did not report any injuries.
This is a developing story.
