NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A shooting in New Haven left two men injured, according to the city's police department Sunday.
Police said officers went to the area of Shelton Avenue and Ivy Street at 1:30 p.m. after they received a notification about the shooting.
Two 20-year-old men, one from Hamden and the other from New Haven, were injured in the shooting, according to police. A private vehicle brought one of the men to Yale-New Haven Hospital and the second to Yale's Saint Raphael's campus on Chapel Street.
Police said investigators found a large crime scene with ballistic evidence and that detectives interviewed people at the scene.
