NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital is considered among the best children’s hospitals in the United States for five out of 11 pediatric subspecialties, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-2025 Best Children’s Hospital rankings.
The children’s hospital earned national recognition in Urology, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Neonatology, Gastroenterology and GI Surgery, and Behavioral Health.
Cliff Bogue, MD, chief, pediatrics, Yale New Haven Health and chair, pediatrics, Yale School of Medicine, said that the staff at the children’s hospital is honored to be ranked among the best in the country.
“Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital continues to demonstrate the amazing commitment of our talented staff in providing the finest care to our patients and families we serve every day. Our growth, our quality and safety initiatives, and our commitment to recruiting and retaining top medical talent are vital to improving outcomes,” Bogue said.
Katherine Heilpern, MD, FACEP, president, Yale New Haven Hospital, said the U.S. News & World Report are significant benchmarks for national recognition and achievement.
“It recognizes outstanding care being provided while inspiring everyone’s efforts to exceed the expectations of our patients and their families,” she said. “We are very proud to be recognized as among the best in pediatric care in the United States.”
Yalen New Haven Children’s Hospital reports that it is a national leader in pediatric care. It has campuses in New Haven and Bridgeport and program services and sites that can be found across the health system.
A network of eight integrated Pediatric Specialty Centers offers access to over 35 pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties throughout the region.
