Arrest announced in New Haven quadruple shooting

The second suspect police expect to arrest is still being treated at the hospital.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A Hamden man has been arrested in connection to a shooting in New Haven that left four injured early Friday morning.

New Haven police arrested Brian Anderson-Benton, 21. He was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit. He has not yet posted his $500,000 bail, police said.

Anderson-Benton is accused of being part of shootings on Church Street and Chapel Street that left a 19-year-old woman in critical condition. The shooting also left him and two others injured. An arrest was made at the scene Friday.

Officers said Friday both suspected shooters have a criminal history, including weapons charges.

The 19-year-old woman remains in critical condition as of Tuesday afternoon, police said.
