Bus goes down embankment on I-91 in New Haven; no serious injuries

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A bus carrying over a dozen passengers on Interstate 91 North overnight Tuesday went down an embankment; no one was seriously injured, according to Connecticut State Police.

There were 13 passengers on the commercial bus when it was traveling on I-91 north near Exit 8. The bus veered to the right about 700 feet down the embankment and into the marsh, state police said.

Troopers were called to the crash around 3:42 a.m.

Two people were taken to an area hospital for evaluation of their minor injuries.
