NAUGATUCK, Conn. — Babies sometimes come at inconvenient times and places.
That's what happened with one newborn Wednesday morning in Naugatuck.
According to a post on Facebook when officers arrived at the home around 10: 30 a.m., they found a pregnant woman with frequent contractions at home with her husband in an upstairs bathroom.
Ambulance crews arrived on the scene and determined that there wasn't enough time to bring her to the hospital, they prepped an area for delivery. About 30 minutes later, the baby boy made his appearance.
Both the mother and her baby were found to be in good health after the delivery, and they were taken to a local hospital for post-labor care, with the aid of a police escort to speed the way.
Congrats to the family!
