WALLINGFORD, Conn. — Police are investigating after 15 cars were broken into in Wallingford on Monday, according to the town's police department.
According to police, officers went to the area of 50 Gaylord Farm Road, where Gaylord Hospital is located, at 1:20 p.m. after receiving reports of the break-ins and found that "many of the cars" had their windows smashed and valuables such as wallets taken from inside.
The initial reports that were received said the cars broken into belonged to employees at the hospital, police said.

Police shared a reminder to residents to lock car doors and to remove or hide valuables inside vehicles. They also advised to park in a "well-lit, well-traveled area under surveillance" when possible.
