Man dies after being hit by vehicle in Waterbury: Police

The driver involved remained at the scene and had no injuries, police said.

WATERBURY, Conn. — A man died after being hit by a vehicle in Waterbury Saturday evening, according to the town's police department.

Police said that officers went to the area of 836 East Main Street at 10:09 p.m. after receiving a report of a collision involving a pedestrian.

The person, identified as an adult male, died at the scene, according to police. His name has not been released at this time.

The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and had no injuries, police said.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown.

The Waterbury Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating the collision and anyone with information is asked to contact them at 203-346-3975.
