GROTON, Conn. — Four people were arrested in connection to a home invasion investigation in Groton, according to the city's police department Monday.
Police said that at 3:23 a.m. Sunday, City of Groton police received multiple 911 calls reporting that a person was allegedly beaten with a bat and that a gun was displayed in the area of the Branford Manor apartment complex.
As officers responded, police said they stopped an involved vehicle that was leaving the scene.
The four people inside the vehicle, identified as Bryon McClellan, 35, of New London, Shanice McClellan, 32, of Baltic, Shilo Noon, 40, of New London and Keyonia Bell, 24, of Groton, were involved with the physical assault, according to police.
City of Groton police, with help from Groton Town police, found a victim injured from the assault who was taken to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, police said. Their condition was not provided.
Members of the City of Groton Detective Division collected evidence and processed the scene.
Bryon McClellan is facing charges of home invasion, assault in the second degree, carrying a dangerous weapon, criminal mischief in the second degree, breach of peace in the second degree and larceny in the sixth degree. He was held on a $250,000 bond and was expected to appear in New London Superior Court Monday.
Shanice McClellan is facing charges of home invasion, conspiracy to commit assault in the second degree, and breach of peace in the second degree. She was released on a $10,000 bond and is expected to appear in New London Superior Court on July 29.
Noon is facing charges of burglary in the second degree, conspiracy to commit assault in the second degree, and breach of peace in the second degree. She was released on a $10,000 bond and is expected to appear in New London Superior Court on July 29.
Bell is facing charges of burglary in the second degree and breach of peace in the second degree and was released on a $10,000 bond. She is expected to appear in New London Superior Court on July 29.
Police are asking anyone with information or video footage to contact the City of Groton Detective Division at 860-446-4186. Calls can remain anonymous, police said.
