GRISWOLD, Conn. — The driver accused of crashing head-on into another vehicle, killing the other driver, has been arrested a year after the crash happened.

Moorehead's truck was traveling west on Voluntown Road when it crossed the double yellow line and hit Zawadzki's SUV head-on, according to state police. Zawadzki had to be rescued from the SUV and was taken to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
During the investigation, troopers found a pistol on the passenger seat of Moorehead's truck. Medical tests showed that Moorehead had THC, fentanyl and other substances in his system on the day of the crash, the arrest warrant states.
