BURLINGTON, Vt. — A Waterford man was arrested in Vermont on a federal charge of drug trafficking, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Jahking Allah, 44, also known as "Stop Sign," of Quaker Hill, had reportedly sold cocaine to a person in Burlington on two dates in January, according to court records.
Law enforcement officials used a search warrant on Jan. 19 to enter Allah's apartment on St. Paul Street, the U.S. Attorney's office said. Among the items that were found were seven handguns - two of which were reportedly stolen - digital measurement scales, and drugs including what is believed to be 85 grams of cocaine and 25 grams of fentanyl.
The Burlington Police Department said the seven handguns found were among the largest number of guns ever recovered during a single search warrant execution, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
Allah was arrested on the day the law enforcement officials executed the search warrant, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.
He faces a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment if convicted on his current charges and is expected to appear before a U.S. Magistrate judge on Wednesday.
