HARTFORD, Conn. — A Lotto! ticket sold for Friday's drawing won the $1.7 million jackpot, according to CT Lottery.
The numbers to match are 10-16-27-33-39-42. Prizes starting at $2 are distributed to players who match at least three numbers.
VERIFY: No, the advertised Powerball “jackpot” isn’t the cash prize — it’s an estimate for annuity payments
The jackpot-winning ticket matched all six numbers, winning $1.7 million, which can be paid in 21 annual equal payments, which comes out to nearly $81,000 a year. Instead of an annuity, the winner could choose to redeem the ticket cash value of $1,201,583.
Had any other tickets won the jackpot, the winners would have to share the prize pool.
The overall odds of winning any prize in Lotto! is 1 in 39.3, according to CT Lottery. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 7,059,052.
A total of 3,594 winning Lotto! tickets were sold for Friday's drawing.
The next drawing is Tuesday, Jan. 16 and the jackpot resets to $1 million.
In the meantime, the jackpot winner has until July 10 to claim their prize. The ticket was bought at the Exxon on 682 Queen St. in Southington, according to CT Lottery.
