HARTFORD, Conn. — There's a new millionaire in Connecticut after someone won $1 million in Tuesday's drawing for Mega Millions.
The numbers to match are 3-9-14-26-51 and the Mega Ball 21 and X4 Megaplier.
One ticket sold in Connecticut matched five numbers, winning $1 million. Had they played with Megaplier, they would have won $4 million.
A total of 7,084 winning Mega Millions tickets were sold in Connecticut for Tuesday's drawing.
No one in the nation won the $279 million jackpot, which requires matching all five numbers and the Mega Ball.
The next drawing is on Friday, July 26 and the jackpot rises to an estimated $306 million.
