STAMFORD, Conn. — Jurors in the Michelle Troconis criminal trial continued to hear testimony from forensic experts on the evidence collected in the case of missing New Canaan mom Jennifer Dulos.
Testimony from another retired forensic scientist testified on the items she tested for blood and bodily fluids and then sent to other departments for further testing, including for DNA. Many of these items were found in trash bins along Albany Ave. in Hartford and in several vehicles connected to the case.
Between the evidence the two forensic scientists testified about, only three items they came across were put under confirmatory blood tests and were found to have human blood; Jennifer's shirt and bra, as well as a hard white object.
Friday's testimony mentioned taking presumptive blood tests and collecting swabs for the DNA analysis from multiple pieces of evidence, including several black plastic bags, gloves, a broom handle and two sponges.
The scientist on the stand Friday also testified of identifying human hairs found on some evidence and sending the hair follicles to the DNA lab.
The court awaits to hear from a DNA analyst to share the results of those collected swabs.
Court adjourned early Friday and will resume Monday morning. The trial is expected to continue for several weeks.
