Troconis is accused of publicly displaying a court-sealed report on her laptop during her trial earlier this year.

STAMFORD, Conn. — Michelle Troconis pleaded not guilty to a contempt charge she received during her criminal trial earlier this year at Connecticut Superior Court in Stamford on Wednesday.

The matter will continue on Sept. 16.

In March, Troconis, 49, was convicted on all charges connected to the disappearance and presumed death of Jennifer Farber Dulos in 2019. A jury of six peers found her guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to tamper with evidence, tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution.

In late May, Troconis was sentenced to 14-and-a-half years in prison for her role in Farber Dulos’ death. According to prosecutors, Farber Dulos’ estranged husband Fotis Dulos killed her at her home in New Canaan and hid her body, which has never been found. Troconis was found guilty of helping her then-boyfriend get rid of the evidence.

Fotis died by suicide in 2020 after being charged with murder in the disappearance and death of his wife.

During her criminal trial, which began in mid-January of this year and ended in early March, Troconis was charged with contempt of court. Prosecutors allege Troconis publicly displayed a “Herman report” on her laptop in open court for members of the gallery and those tuning into the live stream of the trial to see. The document was a court-sealed report that was part of the contentious divorce between Farber Dulos and Fotis Dulos in 2019.

Judge Donna Heller ordered the report sealed in 2019 before Farber Dulos disappeared, but Troconis allegedly had part of it pulled up on her laptop in a large font, according to Troconis’ arrest warrant.
