WETHERSFIELD, Conn. — A serious collision occurred early Sunday morning on I-91 southbound near exit 26 and 28 in Wethersfield, according to police.
Troopers, as well as EMS and the local fire department, responded to the crash around 1 a.m.
Police said one person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
As a result, I-91 southbound by exit 28 was closed while authorities investigated the crash.
As of now, police say the scene has been cleared and the roadway has reopened.
There are no further details at this time.
