1 dead, 2 injured in Enfield crash: Police

Enfield police were called to Enfield Street near the South Road intersection for a crash involving an SUV and a pickup truck Friday afternoon.

ENFIELD, Conn. — One person has died and two others were injured after a crash in Enfield Friday afternoon.

Enfield police were called to Enfield Street near the South Road intersection for a crash involving an SUV and a pickup truck that happened around 1:40 p.m.

The pickup truck driver was taken to Saint Francis Hospital for medical treatment; the extent of injuries are not known at this time.

The SUV driver was taken to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries.

The SUV passenger, identified as Patricia Carey, 62, of Enfield, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Details of what led up to the crash were not immediately made available.
