Woman taken by medical helicopter after being hit by vehicle in Plainville, police say

A woman was struck by a vehicle on New Britain Avenue in Plainville Sunday morning, police said.

PLAINVILLE, Conn. — A vehicle hit a woman in Plainville Sunday morning, according to the Plainville Police Department.

Police said the crash happened on New Britain Avenue at the intersection of Hooker Street around 10 a.m. 

A Life Star medical helicopter brought the woman to the hospital, police said. Her current condition is unknown.

The Plainville Police Traffic Division along with the Connecticut State Police are currently investigating the accident.
