BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Two people died after a shooting in Bridgeport's East End resulted in four people being hit by gunfire Saturday night, the city's police department said.
Officers arrived at Stratford Avenue and Logan Street at 11:15 p.m. for a report of multiple people shot. Three people injured with gunshot wounds were found outside on Stratford Avenue, police said.

All three were taken to local hospitals by AMR ambulance, according to police. A fourth person who had gunshot wounds also arrived at a local hospital.
Two of the four people hospitalized died of their injuries, police said. Both have been identified as men from Bridgeport, ages 30 and 32. Their names have not been released at this time.
The conditions of the other two people, including a 34-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man, both from Bridgeport, is currently unknown.
Police said that the Detective Bureau Homicide Squad is leading the investigation, and the police department's Forensic Identification Unit is processing the scene and collecting items of evidence.
Police also said it appears the shooting is not related to "other criminal cases" under investigation.
