Serious motorcycle crash under investigation in Shelton

SHELTON, Conn. — Two motorcycle riders were taken to the hospital after their bike collided with a car in Shelton on Friday morning.

Police were called to the area of Walnut Tree Hill Road and Thompson St. just after 10 a.m., Friday for a report of a motorcycle and vehicle crash.

Arriving crews found a 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman with serious injuries, and they were later taken to the hospital. The man driving is in intensive care, while the woman riding as the passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police determined that the motorcycle was traveling south on Walnut Tree Hill Road when a vehicle traveling north took a left turn onto Thompson St., colliding with the motorcycle.

The 17-year-old in the vehicle was not injured, police said.

Police continue to investigate the crash.
