ENFIELD, Conn. — A fatal motorcycle crash occurred in Enfield on Friday afternoon, according to the Enfield Police Department.
Enfield police say Amanda Santiago, 27, of Springfield, Mass. died after being taken to St. Francis Hospital. Santiago was a passenger on the motorcycle.
The collision took place near 35 Somers Road around 1:20 p.m. The police department’s Traffic Division is currently investigating the crash.
The motorcycle’s operator, 31-year-old Jose Del Rosario Collazo, Jr., of Chicopee, Mass., was also taken to St. Francis Hospital for injuries that are suspected to be serious.
As the crash remains under investigation, Enfield police are asking anyone with pertinent information to call Officer Nisyrios at 860-763-8985.
