BERLIN, Conn. — A serious two-vehicle crash in Berlin prompted a road closure Thursday evening, according to the town's police department.
Christian Lane is currently closed between Route 9 and Deming Road during the investigation, according to police.
First responders went to the scene of the crash in the area of Christian Lane at 3:24 p.m.
A preliminary investigation found that one of the vehicles crossed the center lane and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle for an unknown reason, police said.
The drivers of both vehicles were brought to the hospital for their injuries. Police said one driver had life-threatening injuries and the other had non-life-threatening injuries.
The Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Squad is assisting with the investigation. Berlin police are asking any witnesses to contact police with additional information.
