EAST HARTFORD, Conn. — Officials are investigating a shooting involving East Hartford police officers.
According to police, officers were called to the area around Governor Street and Thomas Street around 3:30 p.m. Sunday on the report of a "disturbance." East Hartford officials have not released details on the "disturbance" or what led up to the shooting.
There is no threat to the public, officials said, and the officers involved in the shooting were taken to the hospital for evaluation. There were no details on if anyone else was injured.
The East Hartford Police Department is investigating the shooting in cooperation with the Inspector General's Office, Hartford Judicial District Office, and the Connecticut State Police District Major Crimes unit.
