ENFIELD, Conn. — Two youths were apprehended in Enfield after leading officers on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle Wednesday, according to the town's police department.
Officers received a complaint around 3 p.m. Wednesday about suspects attempting to get into parked vehicles in the area of Tolland Drive, police said.
A grey Dodge Durango and red Chevrolet SUV took off from the scene as officers were checking the area and led them on a pursuit, according to police.
After officers disengaged from the vehicles, which police said was in accordance with state policy, an Enfield officer used a tire deflation device on the Durango, bringing it to a stop on Interstate 91 south.
Police said an officer pursued three suspects on foot as they took off from the scene and into the woods. Two youths were apprehended, and the third suspect is still missing.
Investigators learned that the Durango was stolen from David Street in Enfield, police said.
The Enfield Police Department K9 Unit and drone units had responded to the incident, along with assistance from East Windsor police, Hartford police and Connecticut State Police.
