GLASTONBURY, Conn. — Three teens were injured after being hit by a car Monday in Glastonbury, according to the town's police department.
At 2:30 p.m., first responders from the town's police and fire departments, along with the Ambulance Service of Manchester and Aetna Ambulance, went to Hubbard Street and Maple Street after receiving a report of a car crash with pedestrians involved.
Based on preliminary information, police said they determined a car had been traveling west along Hubbard Street when it hit the three youths in the roadway.
The Glastonbury school superintendent said the three teens were members of the high school crew team. The crash location is a few blocks away from Glastonbury High School.
According to police, the three teens were taken to Connecticut Children's Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the driver of the car remained on the scene and is cooperating with their investigation.
Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to contact Officer Maloney at 860-633-8301. The Glastonbury Police Department Traffic Unit is leading the investigation.
