HARTFORD, Conn — A Hartford man died from his injuries suffered after the motorcycle he was riding on collided with a car on Sunday afternoon.
John Marrero, 20, of Hartford, died from his injuries in the crash on Monday morning.
Police responded to a call around 2 p.m. about a car-vs motorcycle crash in the area of Zion Street, at the intersection with Harbison Avenue.
When they arrived, officers found a red Yamaha motorcycle and a gray Nissan Murano in the middle of the road. The operator of the bike and a 22-year-old woman who was a passenger of the motorcycle were found on the ground suffering from severe injuries.
They were both taken to Hartford Hospital by ambulance for treatment of serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene of the crash. She was later taken to Hartford Hospital for minor injuries.
