HARTFORD, Conn. — Hartford's J Restaurant Bar will be closing their doors in July, following the property's sale in January, the business said on Saturday.
According to a post on the restaurant's Facebook page, the business will be ending their "day-to-day operations" on July 3, with a "final full dinner service" on June 29.
From July 1-3, the business said they will have a modified schedule and menu. Customers were asked by the restaurant to either give them a call or stay tuned to the below Facebook post for updates.
"Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to our customers for your continued support during this process," the business wrote in the post. "It is is our hope to have a few pop up events throughout the summer, which we will post on social media. We also want to thank our past and present employees for making an amazing 54 years, we could not have done it without you all. Anyone looking for catering, please reach out and we will see what we can do until the kitchen is dismantled."
The closing date comes after the owner, Jordan Dikegoros, announced that he sold his restaurant properties on Jan. 25 to LAZ Parking.
"Reflect back on when we set up for COVID and our logo was 'Paved Parking Lot, Put up a Paradise' and now it has come full circle, 'Paved Paradise, Put up a Parking Garage.' We will now turn the page and see what the future holds," Dikegoros wrote in a Facebook post in January.
According to the restaurant's website, J Restaurant and Bar has the largest outdoor patio in Hartford and offers salads, pizza, pasta and daily specials, along with craft beer and wine.
