HARTFORD, Conn. — NOTE: Video above is from a previous report.
A homicide investigation was underway in Hartford Thursday evening, the city's police department said.
Police were called to the area of New Britain Ave. just before 8:30 Thursday for a report of a fight.
Arriving officers found an unresponsive man with "an apparent puncture wound," police said.
People in the area tried to save the victim's life. The man was then taken to an area hospital where he later died. Police identified the victim early Friday as William Jemison, 38, of Hartford.
This incident remains under investigation.
