HARTFORD, Conn. — A man died after a shooting in Hartford Saturday night, according to the city's police department.
Police said officers were called to the area of Burton Street at 11:28 p.m. after receiving a report of a shooting.
A man, later identified as Terrance Brown, 41 of Hartford, was found with multiple gunshot wounds, according to police. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions is leading the investigation.
According to Hartford Police Lt. Boisvert, the incident involved a large gathering of people and appears to be related to a dispute between two individuals.
Anyone who witnessed the shooting can contact the Hartford Police Department tip line at 860-722-TIPS. Calls can be made anonymously.
There are currently no suspects, Boisvert said.
Police said they are investigating a separate, unrelated shooting on Fishfry Street that was reported hours later at 1:11 a.m. on Sunday.
The fatal shooting marks the city's 12th homicide of the year.
There is no word on a suspect at this time.
