HARTFORD, Conn. — A motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a car in Hartford Saturday evening, according to the city's police department.
Police said they went to the intersection of Fairfield Avenue at White Street at 8:36 p.m. after receiving a report about a serious crash involving a motorcycle and a car.
According to police, Roberto Laboy, 44, was found unresponsive near a red Suzuki motorcycle that was in the middle of the road. He was taken to Hartford Hospital where he later died.
The driver of a Honda Accord that was located by officers on the southeast side of the intersection stayed at the scene of the crash.
The Hartford Police Crime Scene Division is leading the investigation into the collision, police said. The cause of the crash and events leading up to it are currently unknown.
