WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in West Hartford Monday evening that prompted a temporary road closure, according to the town's police department.
At 6:15 p.m., the town's police and fire departments went to the area of Fern Street and Mountain Road after receiving a report about the collision, which was determined to involve a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle.
The adult motorcycle rider had serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to a hospital, according to police. The driver of the vehicle had no injuries from the crash.
Fern Street was closed between Mountain Road and Willowbrook Road for several hours during the investigation, police said.
