WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — West Hartford police said a road is closed after a serious pedestrian crash Tuesday evening.
Sedgwick Road is closed between Ridgewood Road and Cornell Road. Police said drivers should take alternate routes as the closure is expected to last for several hours.
At 6:44 p.m. on Wednesday, West Hartford's police and fire departments went to the area of Sedgwick Road and Cornell Road for a crash involving a pedestrian, police said.
An ambulance brought the pedestrian with serious injuries to a local hospital.
Police said the adult driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
