LITCHFIELD, Conn. — Emergency services were summoned in the small town of Bantam early Saturday morning for a motor vehicle accident on North Shore Road near Point Folly, according to a Facebook post from the Bantam Fire Comp.
The fire company was dispatched around 3:30 a.m., the Facebook post said.
According to the fire company, after investigating the area, a vehicle was found further down North Shore Road on its side down an embankment.
The single occupant was removed through the sunroof and transported to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington via ambulance, the fire company said.
According to the Facebook post, Engine 36, Ambulance 37, Rescue 38, Engine 35 and Connecticut State Police from Troop L in Litchfield all responded to the scene of the crash. The vehicle was towed away.
