WATERTOWN, Conn. — A man riding a motorcycle was left with a serious head injury after colliding with a car in Watertown Tuesday, according to the town's police department.
Police said that at 1:20 p.m., first responders including police, the fire department and EMS went to the area of Litchfield Road and Killorin Road after receiving a report about the crash.
Based on preliminary information, investigators determined that a 58-year-old man from Naugatuck was riding a motorcycle and headed south on Litchfield Road when it hit a BMW sedan as it was crossing the road from Plungis Road to Killorin Road.
The man, who police said was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was taken to the hospital for a serious head injury. His current condition is unknown.
The driver of the BMW was not injured.
The Watertown Police Department and Naugatuck Valley Collision Investigation Team is investigating the crash, according to police.
