COLEBROOK, Conn. — A serious crash in Colebrook left five people injured Sunday, according to Connecticut State Police.
At 1:06 a.m., troopers went to Route 8 in the area of Beech Hill Road in Colebrook Sunday after receiving a report about the crash involving a Kia Carnival minivan and a Honda CR-V, state police said.
Based on preliminary information, investigators determined a Honda was going south on Route 8 while the Kia was traveling north when one of the vehicles left its travel lane, leading to a collision between the two, according to state police.
One passenger in the Kia had serious injuries, and the driver and two other passengers had minor injuries, state police said. They were taken to Waterbury Hospital and Saint Mary's Hospital.
The driver of the Honda had minor injuries and was taken to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, according to state police.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, state police said.
