CHESTER, Connecticut — A Killingworth man is dead after a motorcycle he was on crashed in Chester, state police said.
Police said the crash happened around 1:15 a.m. Thursday on West Main Street (Route 148). According to officials, 27-year-old Sean Guiheen was traveling westbound on the road on a Harley Davidson Electra Glide.
At one point, while going through a curve in the road, Guiheen traveled into the eastbound, oncoming lane and hit the side metal beam guardrail. Police said about 40 feet of the guardrail was damaged in the crash.
After hitting the guardrail, Guiheen was thrown from the bike. First responders rushed Guiheen to Middlesex Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Trooper McKay at Connecticut State Police Troop F at 860-399-2100.
