CROMWELL, Conn. — The Cromwell Police Department is searching for two suspects who allegedly robbed the Subway restaurant in the Citgo gas station at 140 Berlin Road Friday evening.
Around 7:29 p.m., Cromwell police responded to the location for a report of an armed robbery. The suspects are described as a Black male in his 40’s with dreadlocks and a Black female in her 30’s.
According to Cromwell police, the two suspects attempted to scam the clerk out of money, and when the clerk walked around the counter to confront the male, the female reached over the counter and stole an undetermined amount of cash.
While this was happening, Cromwell police say the male suspect pulled out a knife and threatened the clerk. The suspects then fled the location in a gold-colored Chevy Malibu that police describe as “newer.”
According to Cromwell police, it is unknown how much money was taken. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact Det. Jespersen of the Cromwell Police Department at 860-635-2256.
