2 hospitalized after rollover crash in New Haven: Police

Investigators determined the Mazda hit the Chevy as it was making a left turn onto Goffe St. from Sherman Parkway.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A rollover crash in New Haven has sent two people to the hospital; one of them is in critical condition, according to police.

New Haven police found a Chevy Equinox and a rolled-over Mazda 6 Sport after being called to the intersection of Sherman Parkway and Goffe St. around 9:20 p.m. Friday.

After speaking to witnesses and gathering evidence, investigators determined the Mazda hit the Chevy as it was making a left turn onto Goffe St. from Sherman Parkway.

The Mazda driver was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital with life-threatening injuries and is in critical condition, police said. The Chevy driver was also taken to the hospital; their condition is not known at this time.

The New Haven Fire Department and EMTs also responded.
