Wallingford police added that Pagano is also a suspect in multiple robberies that occurred recently in Wallingford and other communities.
Located at 325 Church St. in Wallingford’s Yalesville village, the Corner Shoppe is a convenience store offering customers ice cream, coffee, groceries, drinks, lottery tickets, toiletries and other items.
On Tuesday at approximately 7:01 a.m., Wallingford police patrol units were dispatched to the store for a report of a robbery. According to Wallingford police, employees said the suspect fled on foot with cash from the register.
With assistance from the department’s Community Impact Unit and Investigative Services Unit, patrol units were able to locate an individual matching the suspect’s description. Through the investigation, they were able to arrest Pagano.
Wallingford police said Pagano was held on a $500,000 bond and is due in Meriden court on the morning of Dec. 26.
