Police identify man killed in Waterbury shooting

WATERBURY, Conn. — One man was killed Monday morning after he was shot in Waterbury, according to police

At 9:49 a.m., Waterbury police officers responded to the area outside of 192 Wood St. on a report of shooting incident with a gunshot victim. 

Officers located a man, identified by police as Lashawn Nance, 19, with a gunshot. He was then taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

This incident is believed to be isolated and there is no threat or danger to the public. WPD Major Crimes Detectives are actively investigating this incident. Anyone with information is requested to contact the WPD Detective Bureau at (203) 574-6941 or Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (203) 755-1234. There is no additional information available at this time.
