WATERBURY, Conn. — Four people were injured in a shooting in Waterbury Tuesday evening, the city's police department said.
According to police, officers arrived at Mitchell Avenue at 7 p.m. after receiving a report that shots were fired in the area.
Investigators at the scene found four people who were injured, police said.
Police said the victims were adult males. Two of the victims, ages 19 and 25, have been treated and released from the hospital. Third victim, a 19-year-old man remains hospitalized and his injuries are considered to be non-life threatening at this time. The fourth man, a 21-years-old man, remains hospitalized in critical condition with life threatening injuries at this time.
Police said that their preliminary investigation indicated that this was an isolated incident, which involved a dispute between individuals at this location that led to the shooting incident.
The incident remains under investigation.
