Suspect in May Waterbury homicide held on $3 million bond

WATERBURY, Conn. — Waterbury police have made a second arrest in the shooting death of a 19-year-old man on Wood Street last month.

Lashawn Nance, 19, of Waterbury, was shot on May 6. He died from his injuries at the hospital. 

Demetrius White, 22, of Waterbury was taken into custody in Meriden on Wednesday.  White was charged with murder, conspiracy at murder, criminal possession of a firearm and weapons in a motor vehicle. White was held on a $3 million bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.

On May 28, police arrested Yeanier Osorio-Medina, 18, of Waterbury.  Osorio Medina was charged with murder, conspiracy at murder, criminal possession of a Firearm, criminal use of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit and unlawful discharge of a firearm. Osorio Medina was also held on $3 million bond. Police said there are no additional arrests expected at this time.
