BOSTON — FOX 61 staff members won seven Emmy awards Saturday night at a ceremony honoring television achievement in New England.
Awards were given in the following categories:
- News Specialty Report Arts/Entertainment: “High School Backs Up Old School” / John Charlton, Reporter | Jesse Burkett-Hall, Photographer
- Health Science Feature/Segment: “Thinking Outside the Tote Box” / Jim Altman, Reporter | Michael Townsend, Photographer
- Historic/Cultural Feature/Segment: “Friendship Never Dies” / Jesse Burkett-Hall, Photographer | Lorenzo Hall, Reporter
- Societal Concerts Feature/Segment: “Don’t Forget Us” / Lorenzo Hall, Reporter | Jesse Burkett-Hall, Photographer
- Editor News – Within 24 hours: Composite / Ryan Bernat, Editor
- Reporter – Features/Human Interest: Composite / John Charlton, Reporter

The awards were based on work done in 2015. The ceremony was held at the Westin Copley Place, in Boston.
