HEBRON, Conn. — An investigation is underway after a man died from his injuries from a bicycle accident Sunday in Hebron, according to Connecticut State Police.
At 1 p.m. Sunday, state police from Troop K in Colchester were called to the area of Wall Street and Route 316 for a report about a downed bicyclist.
A passerby spotted a bike lying against a guardrail and a man with a leg injury who was beyond the guardrail and near the woods, state police said.
The man was identified by state police as Cui Lin, 38, of Simsbury.
Calling over others for help, the individual applied a tourniquet to Lin's leg until state police arrived to the scene, according to state police.
Lin was then taken to Windham Hospital where he died, state police said.
Anyone with information on the accident is asked by state police to contact Trooper Justin Haggerty at Troop K, either by phone at 860-465-5400 or email at justin.haggerty@ct.gov.
